Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat
Outing
WAMBO is an annual event which is held the second week in August. The
festivities begin mid-day Friday with the arrival of the larger antique
boats. Between 5:00pm-8:00pm several not-for-profit organizations will
be putting on dinners. Come out and support your favourite cause.
On the main street Friday night there will be live entertainment
starting at 7:00pm and ending at 11:00pm.
On Saturday take a stroll downtown where 100 antique boats, over
200 classic cars, firetrucks and motorcycles are gathered for a long
day of exhibition. On the south side one can explore the exhibitions
put on by the Wallaceburg Museum. Also on the south side there will be
firetruck demonstrations through out the day. Enjoy live music,
exhibitions, crafts and refreshements as you watch the show. At
1:00pm the Diamond Belle will arrive from Detroit. The festivities
will come to an end at 3:00pm with the parade of firetrucks and
antique cars followed by the presentation of awards.
