Location
The Wallaceburg District Museum is located a half block south from the downtown core.

Different Rooms within the Museum


LEE-ENFIELD RIFFLE
Home of the first Lee-Enfield Riffle ever made. The riverfront echoed the very first shot of the repeating riffle in 1878. A plaque now marks the historic event of 1878 and the museum houses one of the first riffles made.


INDUSTRIAL ROOM
Wallaceburg owes much of its existance to the navigable waterways of the Sydenham River. In the industrial room there are many artifacts from the first industries in Wallaceburg.


CANADA'S GLASSTOWN
The glass industry was established in 1894 along the banks of the Sydenham River. The museum houses a collection of hand-blown glass artifacts. This room is currently being expanded due to the closing of Libbey Canada in 1999.


LEGION ROOM
Wallaceburg's soldiers are honoured in a room filled with memorabila. The room was dedicated to the young people who lost their lives in World War One and Two.


RESEARCH ROOM
The research room is were thousands of documents and photos are available on microfilm for the public to use for research.
