Uncle Tom's Cabin is just one of the six historic sites which comprise the African Heritage Tour. Uncle Tom's Cabin is a historic Canadian landmark which relates to the story of the underground railroad and the life and freedom in Canada for refugee African Americans. Uncle Tom's Cabin was the final stop in Josiah Henson quest for freedom. Josiah Henson worked as a slave for 41 years. In 1830, Josiah and his family escaped to Canada through the underground railroad. The Dawn settment was dedicated to the education and advancements of the Canadian slaves.
